The series was a tough one for the Mudcats, who are in third place in the Southern League’s North Division and were already behind second-place Huntsville when it started.

Eddie Morlan (2-2) was the winning pitcher while Brad Boxberger (1-2) took the loss.

Dave Sappelt homered and doubled for the Mudcats while Devin Mesoraco added a three-run homer.

The Mudcats return home Saturday to start yet another five-game set with the Chattanooga Lookouts.
