It was a very bad night for Division I women's basketball in the Triangle.

Three teams played and three lost on the road, including Duke which fell for the first time in ACC play.

Duke dropped a 61-57 decision at resurgent Boston College, while UNC fell 80-69 at Miami and N.C. Central bowed 64-44 at Liberty.

Jasmine Thomas (pictured) scored 19 points, but she was the only player in double figures for No. 6 Duke (18-4, 6-1 ACC), which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Carolyn Swords had 14 points and Mickel Picco 12 for BC (13-10, 4-4), which shot 95.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Miami 80, UNC 69

Freshman Waltiea Rolle had her best game as a Tar Heel with 20 points and 13 rebounds, but the Hurricanes shot 80 percent from the free-throw line to 59.1 for UNC.

Shenise Johnson led Miami (15-7, 3-5), which had lost three straight, with 25 points while Riquna Williams added 19.

It was the second straight loss for the No. 9 Tar Heels (16-5, 4-3), who also got 10 points from Trinity Bursey and out-rebounded the Hurricanes 54-33.

UNC visits Duke on Monday night.

Liberty 64, NCCU 44

N.C. Central went looking for a big upset and couldn't get it done.

Avery Warley had 16 points and 11 rebounds, leading three players in double figures for host Liberty.
