Eagles' streak ends at UNC Asheville

N.C. Central saw its women's basketball winning streak end at four games as the Eagles dropped a tough 64-58 decision at UNC Asheville.

Chioma Okoli led the Bulldogs, who ended a five-game losing streak, with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Lindsey Montgomery also had a big night for UNCA (6-15) with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

NCCU (6-12) got 16 points from Joanna Miller (pictured), followed by Shenise Blanks with 12 points and Blaire Houston with 10.

It was the first of six straight road games for the Eagles, who visit Maryland-Eastern Shore on Wednesday night.
