Duke will have two fewer key players available over the next two weeks, as the Blue Devils try to finish their best season in 15 years on a high note.

Out for the season are left guard Mitchell Lederman and highly-touted backup quarterback Sean Renfree.

Lederman (pictured), a redshirt junior, had suffered a broken toe on his right foot on Nov. 4 at UNC. Redshirt freshman Renfree tore his right anterior cruciate ligament Saturday against Georgia Tech, the injury becoming obvious even before he was hit on the play.

Dr. Tee Moorman and Dr. Mark Easley performed the surgery on Lederman's toe on Monday morning, while Renfree will have surgery on the knee at a later date.

Duke (5-5, 3-3 ACC) has two games left on the schedule, at No. 21 Miami on Saturday and at home against Wake Forest on Nov. 28. If the Blue Devils can win both, they will be in a bowl game.
