Slate has an interesting piece about GOP Senate candidate Thom Tillis
and how his support for gay marriage may hurt his election bid.
First, his inability to do math: He said 60 percent of North Carolinians oppose same-sex marriage. Not true.
Second, his Cro-Magnon social views run counter to many North Carolinians—especially young voters. An Elon poll showed "a plurality of likely voters, as well as registered voters and nonvoters, supported gay marriage."
The latest Public Policy Polling survey showed Hagan up by 4 percentage points
, 44–40, with 5 percent of the vote going to Sean Haugh.
