Looks like Duke University's undergraduate career center is going to have to retool in light of the Wall Street meltdown. Today's Chronicle story quotes seniors who hope their job offers from Merrill Lynch won't disappear, as well as this wisdom from Investment Club President Jay Schulhof:
"For those who do manage to land a job, rising to the top will be easier as those above them are laid off," he said. "Having an investment banking job at age 21 is not necessary to be successful, and I think these events will help Duke students realize this fact."
