One of the summer's biggest blockbusters is been Trainwreck, the Amy Schumer-and-Judd Apatow collaboration our reviewer didn't love. At the end, though, some locals get some love: Bombadil's "Amy's Friend," from their new LP Hold On, rolls with the main credits.

Drummer James Phillips says the connection to the movie came from Ramseur Records owner Dolph Ramseur, who had met Apatow a few times and pitched the song for use in the movie. The band didn't have a whole lot of say in the process, though they were delighted to find out "Amy's Friend" made the cut.

Phillips saw the movie with bandmate Daniel Michalak and a few others last week and enjoyed it. He noticed one peculiar thing about Bombadil's contribution.

"One of the more contentious parts of that recording was the B-section piano solo, which is this reverbed-out part with pianos and whistles," he says. "It wasn’t super contentious, but we had some disagreements about the production. In the movie, they just cut it out."

Oh, well. Have a listen to "Amy's Friend" in full below.
