your turn Human Rights Week, March 20-24: Actually, Human Rights Week is longer than one week. Globe, a committee on human rights at UNC-Chapel Hill, will celebrate with 10 days of activities that include a lecture by Sister Helen Prejean on her book Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty in the U.S. Other presentations on topics including literacy, women's rights, racial harmony and gay rights, will feature high-profile speakers from all over the country. The same holds true for activities at N.C. State University, where Kerry Kennedy Cuomo will be the keynote speaker, discussing "Making a Difference in an Indifferent World." The slogan for Human Rights Week is "All Human Beings are Worthy" and stresses social responsibility and respect for human diversity. Both campuses will sponsor films, music and activities to celebrate the week and to promote activism in human rights. Activities begin Monday. Call 968-1634 for a complete schedule of UNC's events; call 515-6173 for N.C. State's schedule.
