"Women of Comedy: A Night to Remember"

When: March 16-17, 7 p.m. 2012

There has been much silly controversy as to whether women can be funny, or at least carry a comedic film as men can (answer: yes). Comedians B-Phlat and Sylvia Traymore Morrison set out to prove this point as they headline this Women's History Month celebration. The performance also includes comedian Will Little as church lady "Ms. Mini" (we have no idea), plus an R&B/ funk concert featuring Cameo's Aaron Mills (word up!) and his band with Sandra Dubose on vocals, along with Ms. Black North Carolina 2011, Pia Jessup, performing a piece on the value of women. —Zack Smith
