Distinguished historian H.W. Brands of the University of Texas at Austin talks about who won the Cold War? Was it Reagan, Gorbachev or Who or What? He speaks in the context of the lecture series "The U.S. in World Affairs,” organized by the Krasno Distinguished Professorship at UNC. Prof. H.W. Brands is one of the nation's foremost writers on U.S. history and biography. His works have been twice selected as finalists for the Pulitzer Prize. H.W. Brands 25 books are famous for "their readability and narrative thrust." UNC campus, Bingham Hall auditorium, ground floor, 5.30pm. ALL WELCOME; free of charge.
