ELIZABETH EDWARDS
REGULATOR BOOKSHOP—On the Internet, you can follow John and Elizabeth Edwards 24/7 as they campaign for the White House. But here's a chance to share up close in Elizabeth's dramatic journey as she reads from her memoir, Saving Graces: Finding Solace and Strength from Friends and Strangers. It's about belonging to the peple who belong to you—in grief and in triumph. It's now soft cover with a new chapter since her diagnosis with incurable cancer. Seating is limited, but Edwards is known for signing everyone's book. Starts at 7:30 pm. —Bob Geary

9TH WONDER
CAT'S CRADLE—Now formerly of Little Brother, Fruity Loops beat maestro (that's him on Jay-Z's Black Album and elsewhere with Destiny's Child and Mary J. Blige) 9th Wonder brings out the big forces for the release party for Volume 2 of The Dream Merchant. Camp Lo, Jean Grae, Murs, Skyzoo, Jozeemo: The list of 20 emcees is indeed impressive. On the other hand, Little Brother doesn't get back to Carrboro until December. Tickets are $15-$20 for a 9 p.m. start. —Grayson Currin
