Raleigh
Erin Hunter
Quail Ridge Books and Music—If you have kids in middle school, they may never forgive you if you don't get them to the Erin Hunter signing. Hunter is the pen name for editor and writer Vicky Holmes, who oversees the wildly popular Warriors line of young-adult fantasy novels. Chronicling the adventures of clans of wild cats living in the forest, the series has repeatedly topped the New York Times bestseller list and even spawned a line of manga adaptations written by Triangle resident Dan Jolley. The signing start at 4 p.m.; another signing takes place at the Barnes & Noble located at Cary Commons at 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.quailridgebooks.com. —Zack Smith

Raleigh
Brite Boy
The Pour House—In deference to fashion's cyclical nature, perhaps classic rock's time has come. This sextet (from Raleigh, natch) resurrected the bluesy boogie, jazzy sway and rock strut of the '70s on last year's debut, Peartree Sessions. It's like Fleetwood Mac taking the Grand Funk Railroad to the Rockpile. Jamie McLean, guitarist for Dirty Dozen Brass Band, opens at 10 p.m. for $5. We're not sure if his time has come, exactly. —Chris Parker
