N.C. STATE CAMPUS—From an uncomfortable close-up of kissing porcelain dolls to a man camouflaged by tattoos, the photographs in the Southeastern Photography Triennial exhibition beg a second look. Joyce Tenneson, a mainstay in the world of fine art photography and portraiture, narrowed down more than 170 submissions for the inaugural collection at the Gregg Museum of Art and Design located in Talley Student Center at 2610 Cates Ave. The work of 39 photographers will be on display along with pieces from Tenneson's collection. The exhibition is on view during museum hours: Wednesday-Friday noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 2 to 8 p.m. Visit gad.ncsu.edu or call 515-3503 for more info.—Karlie Justus

OWASA ADMINISTRATION BUILDING—From the angry homeowners quoted in the papers these days, one might gather that our ongoing drought is principally a menace to our lawns. Today from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 3:30 p.m., OWASA will offer seminars on how to maintain enviably lush lawns without taxing the water supply. Free, but registration is required. Call 245-2050 or 968-4501 or e-mail pthomas@owasa.org. —David Fellerath
