Transactors Improv

When: Sat., Oct. 25, 8 p.m. 2014

THE ARTSCENTER—"If you laugh, we're doing comedy. If you don't, we're doing drama." So says the motto for the Transactors Improv Company. This Halloween, though, they're branching out into the macabre. The Scary Show presents five fully improvised episodes of horror, suspense and "plain old weird" frights. Spoofing classic film and television, from Hitchcock to The Twilight Zone, these silly spooks come to life with a little help from Hillsborough's instrumental surf-rock band Killer Filler. New motto: If you scream with giggles, these funny bones are doing all right. 8 p.m., $10–$15, 300-G E. Main St., 919-929-2787, —Ashley Melzer

Price: $10-$15
