Tim Fite, The Wailing Wall

When: Wed., May 26, 9:30 p.m. 2010

Ten years ago, Tim Fite (née Sullivan) got his 15 minutes of fame as the talking half of Little-T and One Track Mind. Their one and only hit, "Shaniqua," was the sort of tawdry, alt-rock-sanctioned, hip-hop party jam that went flat as soon as the keg was tapped. Fite is off that particular clock and working overtime now: Since 2003, he's released eight albums of ramshackle, sample-laden folk-rap that's clever and thoughtful to a fault. If you like the notion of a post-House of Pain Everlast making like Beck (and singing like TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe), then Tim Fite's the guy you didn't know you were looking for. All ages show. The Wailing Wall opens. —David Raposa
