When: Thu., March 7, 8 p.m. 2013
AMC's adaptation of the hit comic book about a zombie apocalypse and the increasingly strung-out people who survive it, The Walking Dead, is such a huge hit that even the recap show, The Talking Dead, is beating NBC in the ratings. (Though that might also say something about NBC.) Demand for a March 1 panel at New York's Paley Center for Media was so high that Fathom Events is screening a recording of the event, which featured series creator Robert Kirkman, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd and cast members including lead Andrew Lincoln and Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick. See if questions get asked like, "Why'd you spend so many episodes on that damn farm?" and, "Seriously, are the walkers going to eat that annoying kid Carl or what?"
The following week will feature a series of a different color with a live simulcast from Los Angeles of The Big Bang Theory panel on March 13, with an opportunity for early-arriving audience members to submit questions to the cast and creators. I suspect there'll be a lot of, "Seriously, why in God's name would anyone hang around with Sheldon?" This event starts a bit later, at 10 p.m., because of the West Coast time difference. It's still cheaper than flying out there or trying to get a ticket! The participating theaters are the Crossroads Stadium 20 in Cary and the Brier Creek Stadium 14 and North Hills Stadium 14 in Raleigh. 8 p.m. (Big Bang begins at 10 p.m.) —Zack Smith
