SuperFun Show: Elska

When: Sat., Feb. 21, 11 a.m. 2015

Music for kids has come a long way since Raffi, though plenty of cringe-worthy product remains. On the other hand, there’s Elska, who sings in a vibrato-less alto reminiscent of Suzanne Vega, wears a harlequin-patterned cape, comes from an imaginary volcanic island in Iceland and adorns her breezy tunes with crisp electronics, bells and marimba. The results suggest an Icelandic Magnetic Fields for children. You won’t cringe. —David Klein
