DINNER WITH FRIENDS
PROGRESS ENERGY CENTERDinner with Friends is a enlightening collage straight from playwright and artist Donald Margulies' culinarily sophisticated mouth. Winner of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the play revolves around two close-knit couples faced with unexpected divisions in the midst of their seemingly secure middle-age lives. Described by Margulies as "a rueful comedy," Dinner with Friends deals with the limits of friendship and love and offers the audience poignant wisdom, often satirically disguised as comestibles. Today's final performance by Hot Summer Nights begins at 3 p.m. For more info, visit www.hotsummernightsatthekennedy.org. For tickets, call 834-4000. —Megan Stein
