Stockholm Syndrome, Amelia's Mechanics

When: Wed., Sept. 8, 8:30 p.m. 2010

After six years, Stockholm Syndrome has transformed from a studio-only side project into a full-on touring supergroup that finds singer-songwriter Jerry Joseph and Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools teaming with acclaimed sidemen Eric McFadden (George Clinton, Eric Burdon) on guitar, Danny Louis (Gov't Mule, Cheap Trick) on keys, and Wally Ingram (Sheryl Crow, Jackson Browne) behind the drumkit. Predictably, the group tends toward jam-heavy Southern rock on stage, with the radio-ready flair of the soulful studio cuts roughed up by Joseph's gruff voice. Amelia's Mechanics put down-home folk in refined trappings in the 8:30 p.m. opening slot. Tickets are $14 in advance or $17 day of.—Spencer Griffith

Price: $14-17
