Chapel Hill's Big Fat Gap makes high-octane bluegrass worthy of a crowded back-porch jam, while Asheville's The Trainwrecks shake out tinny twang-rock peppered wi th honky-tonk. Laura Reed & Deep Pocket smooth out the show with breezy R&B rhythms and funky soul jams. The bar will be open. —Kathy Justice

After the scheduled reading, the mic will be turned over to the guests, who can sign up to read beforehand. The reading begins at 7:30 p.m. Wine and nibbles to be served.
