Protecting Creative Rights in the Age of Social Media

A panel discussion will explore the rights of creative professionals working in the visual arts and discuss why it is important to protect those rights. The discussion will be moderated by Deborah Gerhardt, assistant professor at the UNC School of Law and expert on copyright, trademark and plagiarism. Justin Cook, a Carolina alumnus and professional photographer based in Durham, and Mickey Osterreicher, general counsel for the National Press Photographers Association, will sit on the panel to discuss their experiences and take questions from the audience.
