The aim of zazen (simply sitting in Zen meditation) is the ending of suffering and the opening to joy and freedom, to life as it is. Practitioners of color are warmly invited to join the weekly People of Color Zazen Group. Sit silently together, practice walking meditation, and then there is the option to leave or to stay for group discussion and community building. The CHZC offers meditation instruction and orientation to newcomers on Sunday mornings at 9:00, and on Tuesday nights at 7:00.
