Parkinson's Benefit

When: Sun., June 5, 4:30 p.m. 2011

Michael Gardner has played guitar for more than 40 years. He's owned a studio and written songs, too. But for almost two years, he's battled Parkinson's disease. As he realized the cost of treating the disease, Gardner was inspired to help others in his situation, launching his Foundation For Musicians with Parkinson's Disease. This second annual benefit, which begins at 4:30 p.m., brings together eight acts and is headlined by Gardner himself (and friends). From the Phil Collins-y pop of Dave Adams & Glass Moon to the classic hard rock-leaning youngsters in Brimstone, the bill offers plenty of variety. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of show. —Bryan Reed

Price: $20-25
