Oh, The Humanity (and other exclamations) | Manbites Dog Theater | Stage | Indy Week

Oh, The Humanity (and other exclamations)

When: Dec. 2-18 2010

The holidays are a time for appreciating what you have ... and sometimes being thankful for who you're not. Manbites Dog's regional premiere of Guggenheim Fellow Will Eno's "all-too-human comedy of existential despair and metaphysical musings" features five painful—and painfully funny—situations, including a coach ruminating on a losing season, a corporate spokesperson put in the awkward position of explaining a catastrophe, a couple heading to a christening ... or possibly a funeral, and more. Really, there's a lot of humor in this, or so we're told. The production, which runs through Dec. 18, includes a live performance of the "toy theater" piece Nesting in the lobby before each show. The main show's curtain time is 8:15 p.m. (except on Dec. 12, which is at 3:15 p.m.). Ticket prices are $12 for weeknights and $17 for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with discounts for seniors and military with ID. This opening night performance is "pay what you can," with a minimum $5 donation. —Zack Smith

Price: $12-$17
