When: Sat., June 7, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 2014
An event focusing on the 1930s crafts and activities to celebrate the final weekend of the In Search of a New Deal exhibition. There will be artisans demonstrating their skills with pottery, quilting, woodworking, and more. See antique cars and tractors on display, and games and storytimes for kids round out the event. There will be music from the 1920s through the 1950s, performed by Cindy Emens and Manny Krevat at 11am and 12:30pm. At 2pm, Dr. Katherine Charron will present a talk on African-Americans and women in the rural South during the Great Depression.
