No Shame Theatre

When: Sat., June 30, 10 p.m. 2012

Having attended last month's gathering of short plays, songs and improvisations (read about it on the Artery blog at indyweek.com), I am mentally debating whether I want to subject myself to having my words read aloud at this latest gathering. Yes, I wrote up a few comic shorts after going to this, because there's no better venue to try stuff out: Material is submitted the day of the show and often is read on stage by actors who've just gotten the script that was written that day. Should inspiration and sufficient amounts of alcohol hit, I might share with you an amateur effort, though I'm torn between a five-minute anthology of my 10 first play-writing efforts or a short homage to British humor involving steampunk goggles. View the potential carnage or include your own work for a mere $2; sign up by 9 p.m. to have work included in the 10 p.m. performance. —Zack Smith
