Barnes raises the stakes in Everything Is Getting Better All the Time, as her dancers play "Can you top this" with Otis Redding, after Mostly Fanfare takes a humorous look at the obligations and struggles of performance. The evening opens with a commissioned world premiere titled Luster, a semi-autobiographical duet with longtime dancer Anna Bass about endurance and triumph.
