FELICE PICANO
QUAIL RIDGE BOOKS & MUSIC—Gay literature owes a lot to Felice Picano—and with a title like Art and Sex in Greenwich Village, who wouldn't be curious about his new book? As one of the founders of Gay Presses of New York, Picano's memoir explores not only how GPNY was created, but also the role it played in developing our definitions of gay culture through the '70s and '80s, extending itself past literature to include magazines, art and theater all the way to Los Angeles and San Francisco. The event begins at 7 p.m. For info, visit quailridgebooks.booksense.com. —Sarah Lupton

EIKO & KOMA
DUKE WEST CAMPUS—"Through dance, we present archaic landscapes, eons older than the world we occupy, in which we can rediscover our essential selves." So sayeth ADF artists Eiko & Koma, who will present Grain (1983) and the world premiere of Quartet at 8 p.m. in Reynolds Theater. For the first time, Eiko & Koma are allowing others to perform their work: Two Cambodian dancers, Charian and Peace, will dance a revival set to Japanese, Tibetan and Indonesian folk music and also perform with the choreographers in a premiere work.
