Mike Gardner Benefit for Parkinson's: Sidewinder, MoFo's, My Three Sons

When: Sun., Dec. 21, 7 p.m. 2014

Local producer and guitarist Mike Gardner, most notably of the ’80s hard-rock chameleons PKM, has battled Parkinson’s Disease since 2009. This annual benefit, aimed to raise funds to fight the illness, is a reliably nostalgic retro-rock showcase, as Gardner’s peers join together to bolster their friend’s struggle. The Raleigh-via-Wilmington band Sidewinder reunites its three lead singers in the headlining slot. Pee Wee Watson, of Nantucket and PKM, leads MoFo’s, while Nantucket’s Kenny Soule leads My Three Sons. —Bryan C. Reed
