LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE

FRIDAY, JUNE 5–SUNDAY, JUNE 14, RALEIGH

NORTH RALEIGH ARTS AND CREATIVE THEATRE—A closet of clothes is a time capsule, a gallery of guises and identities: many cherished, even if some have been outgrown. The two-and-a-half-year Off-Broadway run of Nora and Delia Ephron's intimate collection of monologues and vignettes—a stage adaptation of Ilene Beckerman's memoir—indicates that the five women we meet in it aren't alone in marking their triumphs, tragedies and turning points with the clothes, shoes and accessories they were wearing at the time. The quintet is strong in this Actors Comedy Lab co-production, as Rod Rich directs Kirsten Ehlert and stage veterans Amy Bossi-Nasiatka, Alison Lawrence, Page Purgar and Bunny Safron. 8 p.m. Fri.–Sat.; 3 p.m. Sun., $12–$15, 7713-51 Lead Mine Rd., Raleigh, 919-866-0228, www.nract.org. —Byron Woods
