Killer Beaz | Goodnights Comedy Club | Stage | Indy Week

Killer Beaz

When: July 18-19, 8:30 p.m., Sat., July 20, 8 & 10:15 p.m. and Sun., July 21, 7 p.m. 2013

In the pantheon of redneck comedians, you have your A-listers: Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and the rest of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour kingpins. Then you have those working comics who have a respectable cult rep in red states, such as Killer Beaz. Hailing from Jackson, Miss. (with the accent to prove it), Beaz has been doing comedy for more than two decades, specializing in clean, Southern-fried everyman humor. Like most Southern comedians, he has his own catchphrase—"Save up!" (He actually recorded a song called "Save Up," with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd backing him.) So if you want some blue-collar laughs this weekend, save up. (C'mon, you saw that coming!) —Craig D. Lindsey

Price: $16-$20
