Keller Williams

When: Wed., Dec. 28, 2:30 p.m. 2011

If Keebler made music instead of cookies, Keller Williams could be their spokesperson. The 41-year-old multi-instrumentalist is an exceptionally talented musician (particularly on acoustic guitar) who often performs solo by layering various instruments into dense, funky jams. His loose-limbed "floppy hat" style of music is matched by an ebullient spirit, like that of a kid on Christmas. Similarly, his songs have a lighthearted, sometimes goofy outlook ("Freeker By the Speaker") that hits the bull's eye for the hippie-stoner crowds he draws. Williams is still on the hunt for challenges, and his latest album,

Bass, mines a spacey, keyboard-driven jazz-funk vibe. He plays for the kids at 3:30 p.m., preceded by a drum circle at 2:30 and followed by a book signing at 4:45. That's followed by an 8 p.m. show for the adults. Tickets are $17 for the daytime event and $17.50 in advance for the evening set ($20 day of show). —Chris Parker
