When: Mon., Dec. 23, 7-9:30 p.m. 2013
This year makes 28 that founding Red Clay Rambler Jim Watson has brightened the season with a holiday show. His 26th turn resulted in Christmas at the Cave, an album of favorites about "Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," "Old Toy Trains" and that "Little Town of Bethlehem." Though he's long since left the Ramblers, Watson, a mandolin player, often tours with Robin and Linda Williams, and collaborators Mike Craver, Bill Hicks, and Joe Newberry. He's also released six records.
Tonight's show features two acts: In the first, Watson sings classic folk, pop and sacred Christmas songs. The second stars you—well, assuming you'll be there to join in on the rest of the evening of caroling. —Ashley Melzer
