This week gives Triangle residents a rare opportunity to see the work of up-and-coming area artists when the Durham Arts Council and the Durham Art Guild hold a public slide screening of the work of over 100 North Carolina artists. Each year these two organizations issue a call for slides to select exhibits for the three galleries in the DAC building. The screening also gives local artists, gallery owners and arts organizations an opportunity to spot new talent in the arts community. The program should last two hours, and will take place Wednesday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m. at the Peoples Security Insurance Theatre on the second floor of the Durham Arts Council building. Call 560-2719 for details.
