Let's see if we've got this straight: In this 1921 Viennese comedy, a slaphappy whore encounters a drunken soldier who meets a parlor maid who seduces the master of the home who deals with the somewhat wayward wife [breathe here] who corrects the husband who finds the sweet young thing who's waylaid by the poet who beds the actress [breathe again] who "performs" for the count ... who at last wakes up next to the whore from the first.
Well, it's not called La Ronde for nothing. The Blue Room, David Hare's recent adaptation of the Arthur Schnitzler play, impressed audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. Here, Dog and Pony Show presents the original, with a cast including Lissa Brennan, Wade F. Dansby 3, Derrick Ivey, Meredith Sause and Deborah Winstead.
