Officer, Johnny Dellaroca's trying to go straight. Honest. But that famous big-band crooner's former associates in Chicago's Underworld might have different ideas about all that. And the boys might want to have a little talk with him about it during Saturday night's swing dance concert down at the club.

See for yourself when John Pyka and the Swing Cat Band and Dancers present Jump, Jive and Swing: A Night at the Roxy, a swing dance musical with a very live band Saturday at the Carrboro ArtsCenter. The hits include "Swing Swing Swing," "Mack the Knife," "Minnie the Moocher"--and, just possibly, a wise-guy singer and a gambler or two who haven't learned that folks who cross the Mob don't enjoy the best of health. You'll probably need to call for backup: 929-2787. Show's at 8. --Byron Woods
