Shakespeare's Love's Labours Lost is a comedy about unwise commitments and secret loves among the academic set. By the end, though, it turns into a far more sober meditation on time-the far too finite lifespan of foolish lovers, committed more to their own word than to each other. In Shakespeare and Originals' version, a trio of 50-somethings going back to school experience the second coming of teen lust and angst-with the clock still running ...
