Off the Deep End Ensemble will be putting on an improvisational show called God, Sex & Power on Saturday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Durham. According to Tom Henderson, who co-directs with Ginny Going, the title of the show will serve as an overall umbrella for the performance, while audience members will be asked to supply words and phrases for the ensemble members to riff on. Sometimes the audience's words will be used in a direct way, and other times they will serve as subtext. The performance will benefit persons living with HIV/AIDS. Going, who is the former director of the Triangle AIDS Interfaith Network, says that there may be a person living with HIV, accompanied by a family member and caregiver, incorporated into the performance. Audience members will receive a complimentary ticket to the Evening with Friends coffee and dessert "thank you" gala at the N.C. Museum of Art that takes place after the performance. Call 821-3723 for details.
