In his 37 years behind the keys, he's released some 30 recordings, won seven grammys and has had a set of performances filmed and cataloged for the permanent collection of the National Museum of American History. He plays Duke's Baldwin Auditorium Friday, Oct. 22 with the Duke Jazz, Djembe and Afro-Cuban Ensembles. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5. Students and seniors get in for free.
