Billed as a performance poet, writer, vocalist, conversationalist, activist and bodhisattva, r.c. glenn (pictured right) will appear with the band Black Womb as part of Blue Roach: The Spoken Word series at East Campus Coffeehouse at Duke University, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. A graduate of NCCU, glenn has performed at Cypher readings and poetry slams, and brings to Thursday night's gathering a self-described mix of "jigaboo stew, miscellaneous blues and audiovisual voodoo" from his book of poems eyeseen: insights outward.
