Charlotte-based singer/songwriter Michael Reno Harrell is a folk festival distinguished veteran and a Tom Russell-like song craftsman who has collaborated with such instrumental marvels as Jerry Douglas and Byron House, but still he remains chronically under-heralded in North Carolina and elsewhere. When Harrell was growing up, his family bounced back and forth between Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina, and that inherited wanderlust has served him well: his work carries the vivid recollections of many journeys taken and examined. Come out to the Six String to see what you and practically everybody else have been missing. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6.
