If your run-of-the-mill riddle-solving experience isn't challenging enough for you, try PuzzleHunt 2001. Event sponsor Manbites Dog Theater describes PuzzleHunt as "a free outdoor interactive performance event in which audience members spend the afternoon attempting to find and solve puzzles located throughout Durham Central Park and nearby downtown sites." The riddles are in the form of entertaining performances that provide clues to the solution of the puzzle. For example, participants might come upon a street musician playing a tune, the title of which functions as a clue; or they might find a solution in the dialogue of actors performing an outdoor play. At the end of the afternoon, a final clue is given, and participants who've solved the initial puzzles can attempt to solve the final puzzle and win a prize. PuzzleHunt takes place Sunday, June 10, rain or shine. Registration begins at noon. Call 682-3343 for details.
