Art and plants are in bloom at Fearrington on Saturday, April 3, when the village celebrates its Fifth Annual Art in the Garden Show and the Growing Crazy in Chatham County Garden Symposium . Works by artists Gary Caldwell, Tamera Mulanix, Lyle Estill, Lewis Torres, Zen Palkoski, Tuesday Fletcher, Michael Oakley, Kathy Hopwood, Sarah Craige and Terry Tripp will be placed around the grounds. The show runs through April 25. Works will be on sale, but admission is free.

The horticulture action starts Saturday at 9 p.m. and runs to 3 p.m with lectures, plant sales, and a silent plant auction. Speakers include author Michael Dirr, Bob Lyons, Todd Lasseigne, Lee Calhoun, and Jim Massey. The event is free and open to the public. For details, please call the Potting Shed (919) 542-1239.
