One of Durham's best-kept art secrets is going public. SeeSaw Studio, an after-school design and business center for motivated teens, throws its Second Annual Open House on Thursday, July 24 from 5-7 p.m. A nonprofit founded in 1998, SeeSaw admits local artists age 14 to 21--with a focus on minority groups--and helps develop them creatively, through design classes and workshops, and professionally, with an eye toward selling work and being commissioned. The Open House lets anyone walk the halls and see the work of Durham's up-and-coming artists and designers in residence--either for business or pleasure. The Open House also launches SeeSaw's new Print Division with demo screenings. Call 687-4411 for more.
