Nationally acclaimed author Timothy Tyson of Oxford will speak at the John Hope Franklin Center's Wednesday lecture series. Tyson's discussion, "Blood Done Sign My Name: Race, Class, Gender, Bourbon-Addled Poets, Rebel Church Ladies, Negroes with Guns, and My Crazy Uncle Earl," draws its inspiration from the author's bestselling book Blood Done Sign My Name, a top read in many literary circles, making Entertainment Weekly's top 10 books of 2004 list as well as the Indy's best book of 2004. The discussion will take place from noon-1 p.m. on March 2, in room 240 of the Franklin Center. Call 668-1902 for details.
