The Jesus-lovin', gospel-singin', Grammy-winnin' the blind Boys of Alabama are bringing their Jubilee-style tunes to the Triangle. The five member group, whose genesis occurred over half a century ago at the Alabama Institute for the Negro Blind, recently released their first holiday album, Go Tell It on the Mountain, which features a hallelujah chorus of all-star musicians such as Tom Waits, Michael Franti, Aaron Neville and George Clinton. A little bit of soul, a little bit of blues, a little bit of funk, a lot of fun.

The Blind Boys of Alabama play UNC's Hill Hall at 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 31. Tickets are $35, $22 students.
