You may not think you know Cyrus Chestnut (pictured), but he's the man twinkling the ivories on Cyrus Chestnut & Friends: A Charlie Brown Christmas. The jazz great has played with everyone from Wynton Marsalis to Betty Carter's trio. He's toured the world as pianist for the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and collaborated on classical works with such notables as Kathleen Battle (on So Many Stars), between releasing his own acclaimed jazz albums. See Chestnut, widely viewed as the finest jazz pianist of his generation, when he hits the keyboard this Friday, March 1, at UNC-Chapel Hill's Memorial Hall. Call 962-1449 for details. -Angie Carlson
