A family where every member is "lord of the dance," the nine, step-dancing Leahy siblings return to North Carolina with their Lock, Stock, Fiddle and Bow tour. After selling out all of their 1999 performances, the Leahys were chosen as the opening act for Shania Twain's world tour. The musical clan, raised on a working farm in near Lakefield, Ontario, all learned to play fiddle from their father, who traced his musical heritage back to his ancestors in Ireland; their mother, a champion step-dancer from Novia Scotia, taught the brothers and sisters to dance and sing. With a new album of original tunes soon to be released on Narada Records, the Pop Celtic clan showcase their energetic harmonizations and hooks Thursday, April 12, at 8 p.m. in Duke University's Page Auditorium.
