The annual Celtic Wonders Concerts bring the tops in traditional and cutting edge Celtic music outdoors to the Bryan Theatre of the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, and this year's event at 8:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, encompasses both. One of the youngest National Heritage Fellows, Chicago's Liz Carroll has long reigned as the best Irish-American traditional fiddler. Formed in the 1980s in the northwest of Ireland, Dervish combines innovative high energy with taste, musicality, and the exquisite voice of Catherine Jordan to achieve a rich, cliché-free sound. PineCone and WUNC-FM join the museum in presenting the show. Tickets are $18 (museum members $15) for reserved seating; $15 ($12 for members) general admission. Free lawn seats for those under 12. For tickets: 715-5923. --Art Menius
