Join local singer-songwriter Joe Williams at the Cat's Cradle Sunday, May 1, for the release of his self-titled debut CD. When not writing folk-rock songs about hippies, "the lone cow of Pittsburgh," and putting across his own wry, whimsical takes on love, Williams is a father of two who has a day job as a library scientist. With a voice uncannily reminiscent of another Carolina singer-songwriter, James Taylor, Williams has an appeal that can cross the generation gap. His new disc is released through local group Bonzai! Entertainment and is available in local record stores. For details about the Sunday show, call 967-9053.
